Species Diversity

Picture
"Species diversity is defined as the number of species and abundance of each of those species that live in a particular location on Earth. The number of species that live in a certain location is called Species Richness. The relative distribution of individuals among species is called "Species Evenness".
Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where each species, no matter how small, has an important role to play. For example, a larger number of plant species means a greater variety of crops for animals and humans to eat. Greater species diversity ensures natural sustainability for all forms of life.

There are SO many different types of animals in the world, and they all depend on each other.
Can you figure out where they all live?
Some like it hot, some cold, some wet and some animals can only live where it is
really, really, REALLY dry.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, it is the one most adaptable to change."
What is the strangest looking animal in the world, do you think?
Create a project around;
crazy animals and tell us all about your favourite.
Send us your work!
We'd love to upload it on our website for everyone to see.
